Literature & Temples
Preserving the Soul of Sanatan Dharm
Sanatan Dharm is not just a set of religious practices; it is a civilization — deeply rooted in profound literature, timeless wisdom, sacred temples, and spiritual traditions. These treasures are the heartbeat of Bharat’s soul. At Save Sanatan Dharm Movement (SSDM), we recognize that to secure our future, we must first preserve and revive our sacred past.
The Literature & Temples initiative of SSDM focuses on two major goals:
Reviving our ancient scriptures and knowledge systems, and
Restoring the dignity, accessibility, and spiritual power of our temples across India.
Revival of Ancient Literature
Our sages — the Rishis, Munis, and Acharyas — bequeathed to humanity a treasure trove of unparalleled knowledge through the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Mahabharata, Ramayana, Yoga Sutras, Ayurveda, Vastu Shastra, and countless other sacred texts.
Unfortunately, centuries of invasions, colonization, and neglect have led to the loss, destruction, or distortion of much of this literature.
Our Action Plan:
- Search and Recover hidden manuscripts stored in temples, private collections, and forgotten libraries.
- Digitize and Preserve ancient texts to protect them from further decay.
- Translate and Publish works into Indian languages and English to make them accessible to a wider audience.
- Promote Sanskrit as the medium for authentic research and learning.
- Research and Validate our mythological narratives like Ram Setu, Dwarka, and timelines from the Mahabharata.
Through this revival, we aim to restore the intellectual, spiritual, and moral foundations of Sanatan society.
Restoration and Revival of Temples
Temples are not just places of worship; they are the very centers of community life, art, education, culture, and spiritual elevation.
Sadly, many of our temples today lie in neglect, lack basic amenities — some due to lack of resources, others due to deliberate attacks or systemic apathy.
Our Action Plan:
- Renovate and Restore ancient temples, especially those built centuries ago, preserving their original architecture and spiritual significance.
- Rebuild Destroyed Temples wherever historically possible, such as those lost during invasions.
- Improve Facilities in temples — clean premises, better access roads, sanitation, and amenities to encourage pilgrimages among youth and families.
- Build New Temples aligned with Vastu Shastra principles to correct cosmic energy flows and rejuvenate Bharat’s prosperity.
- Promote Temple Tourism — connecting people emotionally and spiritually to their heritage.
Restored temples not only preserve faith but become engines of social unity, economic activity, and cultural revival.
A Sacred Responsibility
Preserving literature and temples is not a favor we do for our ancestors — it is a sacred responsibility we owe to our and future generations. Through these living symbols of Sanatan Dharm, we protect the light of wisdom, compassion, and dharma for all of humanity.
At SSDM, we believe that when we restore our temples and resurrect our scriptures, we don’t just save stones or texts — we save a civilization.
Join us in the noble mission to protect our sacred heritage. Be a guardian of Dharma.
